Driven by curiosity and creativity, Markus has built his career at Simucube \u2014 shaping both products and the company\u2019s identity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Markus Nuuja, Simucube Project Engineer, has a passion for software, electronics, and mechanical design. Coding and working on different projects as a hobby is something he truly enjoys. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI got a 3D printer as a graduation gift when I finished high school. I’m such a nerd even in my free time,\u201d<\/em> Markus chuckles.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Markus completed his Master\u2019s thesis on the development of haptic devices. After graduating from Tampere University in 2024 with a Master\u2019s Degree in Intelligent Heavy Machinery, he had already been working at Simucube for five years, taking on a variety of tasks.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBroad expertise is my strength. I wouldn\u2019t describe myself as the best coder or the best mechanical designer, but I have strong skills across many different areas combined\u201d,<\/em> Markus explains. \u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Over six years of growth at Simucube\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Markus found his way to Simucube in 2019 through Tampere University\u2019s space technology club, where he met Simucube employees. <\/span>At the time, joining Simucube offered the opportunity of having a part-time job\u00a0related to his studies and gaining hands-on experience.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy first task was to write factory assembly instructions for Simucube 2,\u201d<\/em> Markus reminisces.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBack then, Simucube was a relatively small but growing company. Working in this kind of environment has allowed me to advance in my career and develop both my knowledge and skills.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, in 2025, Markus has been a part of Simucube for over six years. Today, he works as a Project Engineer, focusing on different projects, building strategy, and contributing to technology development.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, my role is really flexible. I enjoy being involved in many different things, and at Simucube, I\u2019ve always had the chance to work on projects and tasks that genuinely interest me. It is valuable for me to be able to shape my own role here,\u201d<\/em> Markus explains.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve been able to take on responsibility and explore new areas without feeling limited.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Over the years at Simucube, Markus has been coding<\/span> steering wheels, serving as the Lead Designer for the Tahko and Valo wheels, and working in pedal technology development, to name a few examples.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA funny thing happened during this summer when I was scrolling through Instagram and saw Simucube\u2019s post about the Valo wheel, calling it our flagship product,\u201d<\/em> Markus laughs. \u201cThat\u2019s when it hit me \u2014 I was actually the lead designer of what was our flagship wheel at the time!\u201d<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

At Simucube, creativity knows no limits\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Even after five years, Markus remains genuinely excited and motivated about his work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had the chance to work on exciting, hands-on projects that combine strategy and technology development, from exploring future technologies to getting directly involved in technical work,\u201d<\/em> Markus says.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He finds motivation in technology development projects, seeing the products he\u2019s designed come to life, and in the versatility of his role.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn technology development projects, the most motivating thing is the freedom to be creative. You start from scratch, solve a specific problem, and figure out the best way to approach it. The sky is the only limit.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Having been part of the team for several years, Markus has witnessed Simucube\u2019s growth firsthand. He says he has always felt a strong sense of belonging.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been part of creating what Simucube is today. We are what others want to be.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Time for personal growth and development\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

These days,\u202fMarkus works 80% hours as Simucube Project Engineer, leaving room for his personal projects in software, electronics, and mechanical design. He believes these hobbies also benefit the company, as they allow him to develop new skills.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt Simucube, personal growth is valued, and time is given for it.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

He also emphasizes the importance of ownership at Simucube. He sees how passionate his colleagues are about their work and this continues to inspire him as well.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Simucube as an identity\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Even though Simucube has grown rapidly in recent years, Markus feels the same common spirit and identity remain as strong as when he first joined.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe sense of teamwork has always been at the heart of what we do. Everyone works together towards a shared goal, and that feeling of unity hasn\u2019t faded as the company has grown,\u201d<\/em> Markus explains.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That sense of belonging and shared purpose, the Simucube identity<\/em>, as Markus put it, continues to define who we are today.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
